Slipknot is not a good band. As far as old school black metal goes, Bathory is really the one for me, and then Darkthrone and Mayhem. For death metal, I like Possessed, Vital Remains, Cannibal Corpse, etc, but I'm also really enjoying technical death metal such as Necrophagist, Sadus, Obscura, Red Armada, Born of Osiris, etc. Seriously, Slipknot is such a terrible band; it takes them nine guys to sounds like Mudvayne, and Mudvayne isn't good either! BAH!
